Overview

With youth unemployment rising and climate change threatening traditional farming, a new approach was needed. AYCP's "Agri-Preneur" program combines modern agricultural techniques with business acumen.

Innovation in the Greenhouse

Participants are trained in hydroponics, vertical farming, and drought-resistant crop management. But the training doesn't stop at harvest—it extends to market linkages, value addition, and financial literacy.

Economic Independence

Meshack Odhare, the Program Lead, highlights the success stories: "We have young people who were previously idle now employing others. They aren't just farming; they are running businesses."

  • 200 youth trained and equipped with starter kits.
  • 3 New cooperative societies formed to aggregate produce.
  • 30% increase in local vegetable production, stabilizing market prices.

By making agriculture profitable and "cool" again, AYCP is securing both food and futures for the next generation.

At a Glance

"AYCP's climate-smart agriculture program has transformed 200 youth into commercial farmers, revitalizing local food systems."
